Hello! My name is Erica, and I am a photographer/filmmaker! I love people, animals, have a tendency to overshare, and care deeply for the environment. I’m always looking for ways to learn and grow so that my family and I can live a more sustainable life. I have two beautiful girls that are so smart, and hilarious! I love to teach them the importance of kindness and acceptance of all people no matter their race, gender identity, or sexual preferences. Being a parent and having the opportunity to guide and shape the next generation feels like a super power! My husband is a wonderful man and even after 17 years together, I still think he’s pretty dreamy and he loves to make me food! If you haven’t already noticed, I use way too many exclamation points!!!!! But I feel like my excited personality doesn’t come across without them!

I think there’s a saying somewhere that you see your children in other children. And I feel this way all of the time while photographing families! I love kids so much and think they are hilarious! I know family photoshoots can be stressful for parents. The choosing of the outfits, skipped naps, praying that your kids behave long enough to get one decent photo. I feel all of those things when my family gets our own photos done too! But when I assure parents that I am completely unbothered by kids running around not wanting to pose for the perfect family portrait, I really mean it! They make me laugh and I am more than happy to chase them around and act silly to make them laugh too :)

When I film weddings, I am a puddle. I’ve been filming weddings since 2006 and it never gets old. The dress, the first looks, heartfelt vows and speeches, ugh. I definitely cry at least once at every single wedding I shoot. I used to think the song “Butterfly Kisses” was the lamest song in the world. Then I had two beautiful daughters and the first time I filmed a wedding where the Bride and her Father danced to that song … let’s just say I was ugly crying and trying to hide my face behind my camera. It was embarrassing. I guess my point here is … I love your wedding day! I love learning about couples and their love stories. Sometimes I can’t believe I get to do a job that is surrounded by so much joy!
